Have about 2 inch of snow sitting on top of my RT-700. Should l sweep it off or just let it stay on the smoker until melted away?

But if the pellets are properly lubricated the wet won’t affect them.

Just got the snow off the RT-700 and everything looks good.Will be putting the cover back on later today, before the next snow storm coming in on Friday night.And do think l should fire it up to melt the rest of the snow before put the cover back on?

I "try" not to trap moisture under a cover for a lot of reasons, particularly with a pellet grill.

I'd suggest taking the cover off before starting the grill
