I’ve read that I need to season grill grates with canola oil after initial burn in , is this true , if so is vegetable oil ok to use , getting my 590 and I’m ready to try some 321 ribs ..... thanks for the help
I take it you mean the stainless steel grates not GrillGrates but I use the same on both. Canola oil. A lifetime supply cost $5 at the grocery store. The first time I took them out and over a piece of cardboard hosed top and bottom down with Pam grill spray. Since then just drizzle the Canola onto a folded paper towel and apply to the cooking surface.
