Pork Ron's Screaming Pig Rub

Would like others opinion on this rub. Smoking my first pork butt on Friday. Whats the level of heat (spice)? Family is split on spicy vs mild Levels.

IMO none of the recteq rubs are major spicy (hot), but the Screamin‘ Pig is on the spicy side. It has great flavor though, and pork butt can take a lot of rum so just dial back how much you use to satisfy those with a mild preference.

If you have 2 different campus of desired spices, I'd split the pork butt in to 2 pieces and everyone gets what they want.

It's a little bit spicy, but not over the top at all. I like a combination of Screaming Pig and Competition Rub on pork butt.

We like spicy rubs and Screaming Pig is one we like. Some of our friends and family don’t like much heat at all and it is too much for them. If you have sensitive folks eating it I would go light and add a second, less spicy rub. You need lots of rub on a pork butt so loading up on just Screaming Pig will probably be too much for those sensitive to heat.
