I just got through doing a video with some mods and tips I have done with my RT-680. I hope you enjoy.

nice mods video @Wally. Looks like your link to the 5" caster wheels on amazon is broken, only shows 3 & 4" wheels.

@Wally thanks for posting that video, I really appreciate it!

I just did the wheel mod myself when I got my new Rec Tec Bull, it's by far the one mod I would recommend anyone to do.

I like you extension cable mod. I'm pondering the idea of installing a retractable cord somewhere on my Bull for better cable management.

@Eddy check out the How to do the Rec Tec wheel mod thread for wheel links. Amazon doesn't have the 5" caster anymore.

Wally, thanks for the video, I watched it a couple of days ago. It would be great to see a close up photo of how you attacked the 10" wheels.

I don’t have a video but this is what I did to mine. I used new casters and moving dolle wheels.

Just got finished with my wheel mod. I changed up the parts a little based on what others had reported.

I was able to get everything from Amazon.
I went with all 304 Stainless parts as they weren't much more than Zinc.
The 4 pack of casters wasn't much more than buying 2 singles in the heavy duty style and I have two spares.
The Stainless Steel Rod on the first shipment came in a shipping tube which was nice but it banged around during shipping, knocked out the end cap and was lost and FedEx felt I must have ordered an empty tube and delivered it anyway. I was able to work with the seller on Amazon and I had a replaced at my door on a few days.

I have two washers then the wheel then one washer then the locking collar.

Now I just need to work on getting it cleaned up, get rid of the rust and paint it with some Ultra High Heat
Still want to the the Wi-Fi upgrade that I've seen done.

Just a quick Pressure Wash and 2 applications of Rust Dissolver Spray Gel, then a quick coat of Rust-Oleum Flat Black High Temp Grille Paint.
It's still drying, I will add another pic after I finish cleaning it up and getting it ready for use.

Anybody ever build a taller cold smoke box?

How about just mounting a Bradley smoker on the side then(without the puck burner)? The hole is already there, it's insulated, it's about the size of a mini-fridge. Grab an old one off of Craigslist - you don't even need a working one, you just need the insulated box.
