Problems when outside temperature is high

I agree with @TheRicker more info would be helpful. I have just the opposite problem. It’s been over 100 here for over two weeks and my grills are overshooting more before they settle back down. Keeping a Lo cook below 190 has been more difficult. Checking the RTD probe would be a good start.
I live in Texas where triple digit heat is common. Last summer, my 700 would overheat and fluctuate wildly. There was no place I could put it out of direct sun so I bought a folding patio umbrella and stand. Haven’t a any problems last year or this.

I have a 1250 and am cooking today in metro Phoenix. My smoker sits in direct sunlight from sunup to 4pm. 10 degree overshoot at startup but she's been steady at 225 since 6am with ambient starting at 90 and hitting 117. A month ago I baked 5 batches of sourdough in basically the same weather (7hrs @ 450). Same thing, overshoot at startup then steady state. I've never had more than 5 degrees swings, but usually have steady state. I have not changed my auger rate.
