Newbie in MN - grinding noise?

Definitely not right.. I sit by my 340 and drink beer while grilling on it all the time and if I had to listen to that, I'd be annoyed too. To me it does sound like something hitting the fan blades. Don't be discouraged, RT Support will make it right and then you'll be on your way to loving the experience of having a RecTec!

That cricket-type noise that you are hearing is the fan blade rubbing against something; I'm gonna guess a wire.

I'd bet fan is hitting a wire.

Fixed it...fan has a wobble to it...was hitting plastic housing by just a hair
