Like many I've played around with various outdoor cooking devices and find each have a purpose. The gas grille is great for quick stuff. The kamado is a bit fiddly, but does some good smoking. Played with a small electric smoker and sort of liked the results but it was pretty inconsistent (likely me, meat quality variations, and shaky box operation at one time or other). My sister is deep in the smoking life and we had fun last week doing a spatch cocked turkey on her CC. It intrigued me, and I liked the results. So, probably like you folks, some research was in order and here I am.
