Hello all! New RT1250 owner and new to pellet smoking. I just retired and as a gift to myself (with Mrs. Okieboy suggestion) bought a new smoker (I was unable to move my custom 2,300 lb smoker from Texas). Not new to smoking being a previous stick burner chef with KCBS competition experience. Just ready in retirement to work less at turning out good Q without babysitting all night . Have owned about 10 different smokers. Settled in for retirement with the RT1250 and my reliable home-made UDS.
Initial big cook for 60 was a success. Baked Beans, Brisket, Pork Butt, Bologna, sausage and Candied Chicken Thighs. Also tried my first Ribeye on the grill. Love my new toy!!!
