Hello, my name is Robert, and I’m an addict.
Lol.
Sorry, wrong place. But seriously, I just purchased an 1100 classic. Not my first rodeo with the pellet grills. I’ve owned a pit boss for the past 8 years, and although it was very reliable for the whole time, the display has burned out, and the grease can has rusted through. Time for a new grill.
Several bros at work have gone the Rekteq route, and have had nothing but praise for them, so I figured I’d join the party. I am fully versed in what a pellet grill will, and won’t do.
I have a drum smoker for a more classic smoke flavor, but throughly enjoy the convenience of the pellet grill. I find that the light smoke flavor a pellet grill delivers using a smoke tube and pellet maze to fill my needs fine, for the most part.
Anyway, instead of just lurking, I thought I’d post up in the noob forum. I don’t expect to post much, unless it’s a technical question.
But either way, I’m glad I found all of you fine folk willing to share your knowledge.
