I wanted to post my personal Recipe that I’ve kept under wraps.

Base is Everglades seasoning 2-3T
1 large apple
Brown sugar 1T
Cumin 2t
Paprika 1T
Chili powder 1T

1.peel apple and then slice to get core out and about 1in chunks
2. Throw in blender with all seasonings
3.blend
4. rub pork down with the purée you just made
5. I wait 30 min, but you can try marinating it overnight
6. Cook with foil (ice cubes inside) at 250 for 2 hours
7. Remove foil, smoke at 225 for 2 hours
8. Add favorite bbq if wanted 30 min prior, or just eat ‘em as is.

Thanks for sharing.
Yessir! It’s a recipe that I wanted to share. I’ve won a couple cook offs with it. A lot of folks use Cider, but there’s something about a fresh apple that hits different. Also, the good ol Everglades seasoning that should be a staple in everyone’s cabinet. Made in my hometown of Labelle,FL. Everyone would love it. This post will probably be mixed in with everyone so just know you got it before everyone ;)

I’ve been to Labell several times. It’s really old time Florida sort of like Arcadia. It’s almost like stepping back in time and I mean that as a compliment.
