Meat Probes not working

Wondering if anyone else has seen the food probes go up to around 300 when plugged in and at ambient temps. Sometimes they come back to normal or jump up to 250 when inserted into the food after a short time. Thanks

Sounds silly, but is the small nut at the port a bit loose? That has happened to a few of us.

I have a probe issue but I think it’s on the grill and not the probe. Here’s what I got on a 75 degree day
Probe #1 A slot = 110 degrees
Probe #2 B slot = 65 degrees

Probe #2 A slot = 110 degrees
Probe #1 B slot = 75 degrees

So basically both probes read 110 which was too high in the A slot but close to correct in tbe B slot.

I'll have to check those, Recteq sent me two new ones and they were accurate at ambient. Very good to work with. Thanks
