I hope that’s not the case! My local RK still stocks them, now on sale for under $7 a bag. Might be a good time to stock up.I did not purchase their pellets and am wondering if they will discontinue selling LJ pellets????

I was in my local RK yesterday also and they had very little LJ. They did have a big stack of RK pellets that I had never seen before. I’m hoping they are not phasing out the LJ. I was in a rush, so I didn’t ask about it, but I may stop there today to see what they say.I was just in a Rural King yesterday and they did not have any LJ pellets in house. Made a special trip just to stock up on LJ pellets. All the pellets they had was labeled "Rural King". Customer service told me they would be getting LJ pellets back in stock but their brand was just as good & a dollar cheaper. I did not purchase their pellets and am wondering if they will discontinue selling LJ pellets????
Best I've used...not as much dust and burns goodAnyone have any thoughts regarding Lumberjack pellets?
That is the exact same advertisement that the RK in Front Royal, VA is running. That is why I went there yesterday to stock up. UnfortunatelyI hope that’s not the case! My local RK still stocks them, now on sale for under $7 a bag. Might be a good time to stock up.

I stopped back today and asked the girls at the counter if RK was going to stop selling the LJ brand of pellets. They said no, but said like many other things, the LJ pellets are just hard to get right now. Hopefully that is all it is. They only had a small amount of char hickory, hickory, and mesquite blend left. I picked up some hickory and mesquite blend, just in case. I never tried those, so I hope I wont be disappointed.I was in my local RK yesterday also and they had very little LJ. They did have a big stack of RK pellets that I had never seen before. I like lumberjack but all I can find locally is competition blend. I like 100% or 100% hickory the best but I’m not paying for shipping. I can get 100% hickory cabelas pellets locally and so far can’t tell a difference in those and lumberjack and they’re cheaper. That’s my go to now.Rumor has it that Cabela's branded pellets are LumberJacks.
That might explain why LJ dropped some of their 100% pellets last year.Apparently, Great Lakes Renewable Energy (manufacturer of LumberJack pellets) was acquired/merged with Lignetics (manufacturers of Bear Mountain pellets) on April 21, 2021. https://mergr.com/great-lakes-renewable-energy-acquired-by-lignetics#investors-tab
It appears that GLRE will remain a separate operation. Lignetics will continue to make Bear Mountain. Pellets under its own name and LumberJack pellets will continue to be made under the wholly-owned subsidiary, GLRE. Whether this changes the quality or availability of LumberJack products remains to be seen.
The more concerning news is that private equity firm EagleTree Capital LLC purchased Lignetics from another capital management firm on November 3, 2021. So, both Lignetics and its subsidiary, GLRE, are owned by the same capital management company. IME, that’s never a good thing!
In today’s business world, it it hard to tell the players without a program.
Wish I had a Rural King by me. Always hear good things about that store.i have read were they will match rural kings prices
I've heard good things about Bear mountain. I would definitely try them if they were available. They may have them at Costco now so I'll have to check that out in the spring.Bear Mountain and LJ are both fantastic. You can't go wrong with either brand
