I keep getting emails from RecTeq asking if I would rate a purchase I didnt make

Anyone else seeing these? Kind of annoying:)
I actually made a purchase and find them annoying.

My cyber security persona has me not doing any online surveys. Most of them are run by third-parties. They may pass along some data to RecTeq but I suspect they collect data for themselves as well.

The whole survey crap is out of hand. I saw a doctor (regular checkup) and the med tech handed me a card with a QR code on it and asked me to do a survey. I told her I don’t do online surveys…and the fact that I’ve been seeing this doctor for 20 - 30 years should indicate my satisfaction with his medical care.

The difference is the OP stated they did not make a purchase. I agree with everything you said.

This apparent survey request is out of the blue, if your it hackles are up, this should start the questions or rather the action to contact the supposed survey on a non-existent purchase. Exactly how I found several fish/spear fish attempts.

Just saying technology has a very, very dark side and those of us that could return the favor to those bad actors are not legally allowed too. However if they happen to hit a network honey pot, well shame on them.
