Tonight we had nathan's all beef hot dogs which are my favorite. i wanted to try to get that classic weber kettle grill marks on the dogs so i put the grill on full. cooked them at 600 for about 10 minutes until plump and they turned out exactly like i wanted. But check out my drip pan, it was glowing red! i have seen the deflector glow many times but this was a first for me. anyone else seen this?

no it seems to be fine. i think the 1250 uses the same pan and it will go even hotter so its probably fine. dang good hot dogs, definitely a waste of pellets though
