Anyone ever tried using some silica gel packets for pellet storage? Seems like it might help on humidity.

It's a thought but usually keeping them away from direct contact with concrete works for me. YMMV

Once I open a bag I put them in a Home Depot bucket w/ lid. Has worked well and we get a bit of rain up here in Seattle.

I wouldn't recommend using silica gel packets for pellet storage. I keep my stored pellets in the original bags, open bags just the open top rolled over nothing fancy to seal them and up off the concrete floor on pallets with thin cardboard on top of the pallets in my basement with the humidly no higher than 45% to 50% using a dehumidifier with electronic controls in the summer months. I've stored pellets for years using this method, mainly heating pellets at one point over 10 tons.
