Hello fellow smokers. I`m new here, but surely not new to smokin ribs, butts, briskets. Just gettin into the pellet smoker scene. I`ve smoked verything for many decades on a stick burner. But due to age, rounding up wood and splitting it for my old stick burner is getting to much for me to handle anymore, so here i am, trying to learn something new about these pellet smokers. I already knw they won`t compare to the old stick burner`s, but at my age and condition, its time for me to accept the fact that if i`m gonna continue smokin my own things, the new pellet smokers are my only choice to keep doing what i do. Forgive me if i throw alot of questions out there at you folks, i`m new at the pellet smoker game, so try not to beat thee ole man up to hard. I`m here to learn and hopefully share back an forth.

Yes, pellet smokers are a bit different and many of us here have come from the ranks of stick burners so—over time—we’ve learned how to adapt. Asking “a lot of questions” is why we’re here, so feel free to do so and we’ll do our best to provide some answers. And, please remember that the only “dumb question” here is the one you didn’t ask because you thought someone would think it was “dumb!”

I rode for almost 60yrs on 2 wheels, until just recently. Just to many stupid people on the road that aren`t paying attention anymore.
As for the folks here, you ain`t liein brother, i`ve learned alot just in a couple days reading stuff here! Great bunch of folks here!
