The cover is miserable. I have i modified it and it’s a dream now. Added a zipper to one partCurious:
Anyone else having a hard time getting the cover on the RT1250?
Also, anyone experiencing leakage / staining around the 1250 door?
I love how clean that looks! The cover is miserable. I have i modified it and it’s a dream now. Added a zipper to one part
As a result of your post. Recteq will probably be offering the zippered cover next. The cover is miserable. I have i modified it and it’s a dream now. Added a zipper to one part
You are most likely correctAs a result of your post. Recteq will probably be offering the zippered cover next.
I got the zipper off Amazon. Heavy duty plastic zipper so no rust and i brought the cover to a laundromat/dry cleaner that does sewing. They installed it and made it look perfectI love how clean that looks!
Okay, I'll ask.... How much did they charge to install the zipper? If you decline to answer, I understand.I got the zipper off Amazon. Heavy duty plastic zipper so no rust and i brought the cover to a laundromat/dry cleaner that does sewing. They installed it and made it look perfect
Zipper was $13 on amazon and to have it put on it was $20 or $25Okay, I'll ask.... How much did they charge to install the zipper? If you decline to answer, I understand.

I would be more than happy to pay that amount. Well worth the price IMHO.Zipper was $13 on amazon and to have it put on it was $20 or $25

Most likely will want to charge for that too. Thus far, my experiences with Rec Teq in buying a new 1250 has been less than positive, except for Daniel. I thought I would enjoy the excellent same “Customer Service” I enjoyed with Traeger ….. not! Instead of selling my Traeger 575, think I better keep itAs a result of your post. The leakage, especially across the top of the door, is normal. This picture is of my RT700 after a few cooks. You can repetitively clean it or put a seal on it. I chose to seal it with 1/8"x 1/2" LavaLock Nomex felt from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Lavalock-Nom...ild=1&keywords=bbq+seal&qid=1632257588&sr=8-3Curious:

Till you have the first auger lockup from moist/swollen pellets if kept outsideI always have troubles with grill covers. My last few always deteriorated after a few years. The 700 is my first grill without a cover and loving not having to deal with it!
