Initiating the griddle with smash-burgers tonight - does the heat plate and the grill rack stay in place when using the griddle?
Thanks!
Dave

The griddle is more locked in without the grates in. If you have it on the grates you can pull it towards you to get at the food at the back, obviously with an ove glove or something similar. Leave the diffuser in place. Looks like you already did it, so how did you do it and how did it go?

I took the rack out and left the diffuser in place....guessed right 😉.
I've learned a few things along the way with my last two cooks: 1) I need a side table or added shelf. Can't keep going in and out of the house to the deck for needed things...there is ALWAYS...needed things🤦‍♂️ 2) I need the right tools to handle the food during cooks. 3) Riot mode works best for attaining hot griddle.
4) keep the air vents cleaned...tooth brush is good. 5) empty pellet storage after all cooks to avoid effects of humidity on pellets.
And, my fam and friends like the low and slow smoking of pork butts. The Bullseye 380 has been a REALLY good decision!!
Thanks!
Dave
