I've been using primarily Cookinpellets for over a decade now across many different smokers with great success. Whenever this topic comes up among mixed company and I mention this is my go-to pellet of choice I usually just get weird looks. Glad to hear that my anecdotal evidence is supported and substantiated by people who know more on the topic than myself. I just wish they made a 100% Oak but their perfect mix is tough to beat IMHO.
I have used them on a Traeger, Louisiana Grills, and my RT-590. The 100% flavor wood produces as good a smoke as one can get in a pellet grill IMHO. I use the Perfect pellet on most things but being a GA boy tend towards the 100% hickory for red meats. They burn clean and I can do several long cooks before there is a noticeable ash build up. They have never jammed an auger on any of my grills.
I am lucky there is a local dealer near me, but I did order a batch from Amazon. Not sure the FedEx guy has forgiven me yet.
