Ok yeah that’s pretty much the entire internet. Also not my first post.

It is a link to PCS Rack Works after-market shelves for the 590.
Coulda said so in the post, you’re brave @Jim6820 . Everyone is on heightened awareness now, life changing hot links with no explanation makes me not want to click them.

@cellsaver : sorry to have impugned your character.

Actually, I’m not that brave; I reverse-engineered the link to check it out.

As for the forum being “worthless,” that is certainly not my take. We are increasingly visited by bots and new users posting links are subject to being checked. @cellsaver, I encourage you to stick around and get a bit more experience here before passing judgement.

None of my posts have resulted in any useful information…I’m good thanks.

Alright so back to his original question are those difficult to install? I would like something like that but man it scares me to drill into my pretty new grill lol But compliments on the other rack lol

I have no experience with installing this myself, but I didn’t want you to think your question is being ignored. What I’ve understood to be a challenge with multi-racks on the smaller grills like the 590, and especially the 340 series, is the lack of headspace to make them practical for anything other than say, ribs.

If you don’t want to modify your grill HERE is a link to a system that says it requires no modifications. There is currently a sale for the 590 system at $251 and I believe free shipping while on sale. They make grates for most if not all Recteq models.

My take on this system is the single rack with two height option probably the best. You can put some fresh sausage on top rack and smoke your own. Ribs up there would work. Garlic bread wrapped in foil. I have bullseye now, but will get 590 for my next grill.

I bought and installed the PCS Rackworks 3-shelf configuration for my RT-700. They were easy enough to install. The hardest part was drilling the holes through the thick stainless steel walls of my RT-700. I highly recommend using a punch tool to make the tiny indentation to set your drill bit in so it doesn’t just slide around when you start drilling. I also had to use an electric powered drill as my 18V battery powered drill couldn’t get the job done.

I advise you to make sure you’re okay with the clearance (spacing) between the shelves. I had been happy with mine until I tried cooking a full packer brisket and two 10-lb pork butts this past weekend. The meats had to be forced between the shelves. I wasn’t happy about that. It has worked well for doing a bunch of ribs and other shorter meats.
