Front folding shelf?

How sturdy are these? I am looking at ordering a RT-700 and wonder if I should order the shelf with it or just build something.

The 700 is sturdy and will not disappoint. Unless you're handy and have free time, order the shelf.

It's very sturdy, but I have no idea what the weight limit is for it. I'm glad I got it.

If you search around the internet, there are tons of examples of DIY shelves, including ones that fold down.
