Picked up close to a 6 lb pork butt at Walmart yesterday. Figured I would try out a small one as this is my first ever attempt at this.
Going to use Gallery Backyard bbq video as a guide and see how it goes. Butt is on the pit at 5am this morning and the Bull is set at 225 degrees. Killer Hogs AP & The BBQ rub have been applied. I’ll let you know how it goes.

As long as it's fully cooked you'll be fine.
Good luck!

Close to 10 hrs and wrapped in a cooler for about 2 hours. Came out pretty good, even my kids liked it. Lol. Will be doing this again real soon

Looks great!

FWIW: I foil wrap my shoulders after the bark has formed to my liking. When it's all done, I open the foil in the aluminum pan that will get the shredded meat. It catching all of the juices. Not only does it provide good flavor, it really helps with the moisture of leftovers. We always have leftovers because I've started doing all of my shoulders in pairs.

That’s what I want to try for the next one. I’ll pick up two of these ($10-$11 bucks each) and foil after the bark sets up.
I had a dentist appt at 4pm so I had too up the temp up from 250 to 300 to move it along.
