Our backyard project is so close to being complete that I called it "done enough" this weekend and burned in the bull (Reqs) and wyldeside (Gene Wylder).
It seems like the temp in Reqs is sensing 30-40deg hotter than actual according to the three other probes I had in there, but I'll work on that this week. Getting the bull in, wired and grease drained was a shitshow with my contractor, but we finally got it sorted. I love the look, and can wait to keep on cooking.
My main problem to solve is where to store wood, and where to get good cooking wood in San Diego county. $1/lb for oak and $1.50/lb for hickory isn't going to fly.

man thats a sweet set up you got there. absolutely love it. as for the wood i would keep an eye on facebook or craigslist. if an oak is a common tree in your area. here in sc you can get all the free oak you want. you could also call some small time tree service people. getting rid of the waste wood is often there hardest part

Very nice setup! I’ll second the recommendation to keep on the lookout for free wood on social media. One caution on free wood is most people don’t know what they have, and you will want to be able to identify and stay clear of conifer woods.

Wood is tough to find out here, especially near the coast. It's mainly eucalyptus(no good), pine, avocado or citrus with scrub oak thrown in at a hefty premium. No one has an oak or maple tree in their yard anywhere near here.

What part of the county are you in. I am in SD as well and may be able to help. Oh and go Padres!

OMG, I normally do not get jealous, but your setup is awesome!
