Shipping out to select pre-order invitees soon. Don’t know if this gets you anything that you can’t get with other wireless options, but it is a major player in the thermometer/controller market that is on board with the technology. Great for people in the FireBoard World, while I realize that most on this forum are not.

Any idea, Greg, whether the probes are thinner than the Meater 2+?

I’ve not seen one nor have I seen any specs. The fact that FB mentions that the tip of the probe is hex to reduct the size of the hole leads me to believe it is thicker than a 2+. The technology is pretty cool-I have one of their S1G units. I doubt I’ll buy one unless it’s really value priced, and ‘Starting at $149’. is not value priced to me. I still think the weak point of all these wireless probes is the battery life. I thought the MEATER 2+ had that covered, but I continue to be disappointed.

Thanks, @Greg Jones. I haven’t had any battery issues with my Meater 2+ probes, but then I don’t do really long cooks. They have held up nicely for 10-12-hour cooks. I really like that the probes recharge via standard AAA batteries rather than having to be plugged in. YMMV

That really appealed to me as well, and then I had two back-to-back cooks about 3 weeks apart where both probes were dead at the start of the cook. So the last couple of times I’ve used them I make sure to put in fresh batteries in advance, and that has worked well. Other than this one issue, I think they are stellar.
