Just got this grill and went to do the initial burn. Turned it up to the recommended 400, filled the hopper about 3/4 full and put some pellets on the bottom as well. It started smoking a ton at only about 70 degrees. It doesn't seem like the auger or anything is blocked. I'm not sure what's going on. Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks

Don't sweat it...They smoke at startup plus you have the oil from manufacturing. Give it a few cycles and enjoy your new grill!

Did you let it go or shut it down? It is normal to smoke quite a bit as it ignites the pellets. You can look for some You Tube videos of startup to compare. They are out there.
