Do you keep your meat probes plugged in?

Ok so a newb question. The probes, do most of you leave them hooked when not using them or do you remove them until you need them again? If you leave them plugged do you keep them in the cooking area? Thanks.

I only plug mine in when I need them.

I always bring them in and wash them after use, then see no reason to plug back in until ready for next time, so do I do not keep them plugged in.

I use them onneverycook so I leave them plugged in. I do wipe them off before and after each cook. I lay them on the cooking grate in between

Unplugged when not used, rubber sealing plugs installed on the controller, cleaned and stored in a ziploc bag in the grills tool box storage area.

Same here, and keep the rubber plugs in place.

I unplug mine and used put them in the grill until it got hot 95º outside, the plastic melted from sitting in the chamber. Ordered new ones and now keep them in the house.

I unplug mine, clean them and put them in the BBQ Toolbox that I keep on the bottom shelf.

I unplug mine, clean them, and then put them in a freezer Ziploc baggie. Store the baggie in the pellet hopper.
