I also set a timer on my phone as a reminder in case I get side tracked.

I actually asked Rec Tec for a few things with their app, this might be something else worth submitting. GMG let’s you create profiles for meals so you just hit the profile and it automatically starts and adjust the cook (something at 225 for 4 hours then 300 for 30 mins). The other thing is a limit on the alarms to like once every 5-10 minutes instead of constant (when they work).
