Collection of Mods

I raised my 590 on a comp.cart by a few inches (6" I think,) wrapped it in diamond plate, added a shelf, make a diamond plate pig, purchased a smoke stack from @wesgegg , and designed some custom signs to add to the area.

This forum is great for inspiration and guidance on how to make these your own.

Love the diamond plate! Did you cut the pig or have it made? I've been looking at doing something similar but looking to get a Texas Longhorns logo out if stainless steel.

I had a wooden one that I traced out on the diamond plate (before I took off the plastic) with a pencil. Then I just used a jig saw by hand. I supported it with wood underneath to keep it from flexing as it's the thin diamond plate (decorative.). Hit the edges with a rasp file to smooth them out before the dremel to sand smooth and keep anyone from cutting themselves. I bent the leg parts by making and calming them between 2 2x4s and using the "persuasion stick" to beat them down, lol. Took about 15 minutes.

You might be able to use a scroll saw with as thin as it is. Tin snips would bend it on the diamond parts though as they are tougher.

The lower diamond plate I just used a jig saw and straight edge. A grinder has a tendency to wander.

You might want to see.if there's a place that makes the decorative yard signs out of metal like the one behind the 590 I made. They can normally knock out a design in a few seconds and do use diamond plate.

Took my Traeger down to the shop for the hands to use, if they want. Or, they can take it home and I don't want it back!
Traegers need love too!

Not a serious mod, and not my idea, but didn’t see on this thread. Mounted a 300 series Stanley tool box underneath for storage. Works great!

CPL more mods I seen on Shitbook I'll add to the list.
The Smoketube holders are available for sale..I'm not affiliated with it whatsoever.
45$ I believe and I have the name but won't post it, just because he may not want that. So if interested message me and I'll pass it along.

Has anyone noticed that this is not a RecTeq smoke stack? The cymbal seems to get the attention first. It did mine... I play drums.
