Pulls out, start towards the bottom of the lens.

Do you use a flathead screwdriver to get it off? I didn't try that because i didn't want to break anything

No.. just able to grab it with hand and pull it off.

No screwdriver. Use both hands, grab the bottom edge of the lens and lift up and pull out in the same motion.
