I have been using Brasso to clean and polish the stainless steel on my 590. I also have been using it on the black lid. After a few applications, I started noticing around the Recteq logo and letters, that the paint finish appeared to be coming off. Well, it turned out that it was buildup of the Brasso, and all it took to remove it was an eraser and some cleanup with a micro fiber cloth. This method also works on plastic auto interior where car wax has come into contact with it. Just wanted to share.

I use car wax on the painted parts, otherwise I just use a SS cleaner to wipe the SS with.
