Bull Charcoal pellets

A friend recommended charcoal pellets as a way of infusing a bit smokier taste into my shoulder and brisket...anyone ever tried them in their RT700?

Are you referring to Lumber Jack Char Pellets?
I believe I read on this site that Rec Tec does not recommend them due to their size, jamming the auger.
Could be wrong, see what others have to say.

I didn't care for the charcoal pellets, no more for me.

Recteq does not recommend them due to potential auger jams. You could toss them in a smoke tube without that risk.

I tried the LJ once and threw them out. No problems with the grill, but useless for any type of charcoal smoke flavoring.

I tried them in another grill. I honestly couldn't tell a difference. Wasn't any more or less smokey to my senses.
