New here - have a grill on the way.

Has anyone taken the legs off and mounted the grill on another surface? I would like to do that in an area where my home once had a grill situated. I will need to rest the posts on something and was curious if anyone had any negative experiences with that style of operation.

I read through the forum and did some searches but mostly came up with wheel mods.

larger wheels and maybe handles for better modility. Istore mine out of elements when not in use.

1 1/4"x .120 square tube. The hinges were a little tricky to build and putting the little springs back in place was really tricky.
