Can I use my tablet?

Still waiting to receive my RT590, and wondering if anyone uses a tablet (android) to monitor the grill? I've noticed the app is only optimized for phones, but I don't carry or have a cell phone, can't stand them.

Yea, that's what I get too. It won't even let me download it?

I have the app on my iPhone and iPad. Haven’t used the iPad to control it the grill yet. Only “issue” I have is that its in portrait mode and the iPad is attached to a keyboard in landscape. I haven’t been able to get it to rotate but I really have put much effort into resolving it.

Can't get past the google play store to let me download the app, will have to research more? Maybe a way I could "jailbreak' my tablet, to get the app to download?
