No, but there is a lot of rusty metal flakes at the bottom of the grill. Can't help to think that little pieces of metal are being blown up into my cooks.

East Georgia Metals makes all kinds of grill racks, etc. I think they use to make a 1/4" steel heat deflector for the bullseye. Might want to contact them and see.

I cleaned my grill yesterday and noticed the same thing. I too am probably going to have to replace it. I'll be curious to hear what you replace it with
