Hey guys and gals im a just got my bull last week and have been cooking on it alot. love it! tonight we are having tacos and i want to brown the meat on the grill. i was thinking about using a cookie sheet to spread out my ground black bear meat and cooking it like that and putting something under one side to channel the grease away from the meat. but now i have a crazy idea. is there any reason i cant take the grates out and brown on top of my drip pan? seems perfect. anyone ever done it? thanks alot and i look forward to sharing my experiences with you. will be doing 20lbs of deer/wild boar sausage links this weekend and many small whole pigs this summer.

Sometimes you get bear
Sometimes bear gets you

Nope. I use my 700 as a smoker only. I have little 17””” Blackstone griddle for searing/browning among other uses.
