Trailblazer Beer can Chicken on RT-340?

Going to pull the trigger soon on the RT-340. Are my days of doing beer can chickens done? 7” doesn’t seem like enough height. Spatchcock only?

Beer can chicken is kool but IMHO spatchock is the only way to cook a whole chicken to have it come out correctly.

Same here, I’d spatchcock even if there was space for beer can chicken.

Did a beer can chicken as my first cook on the 340 this past weekend. Took a little finagling but it worked. I only did one but you could fit two. No room for the holder and I had to crunch the can a hair because the can didn’t fit all the way up in there, but it came out amazing!! Beat the chicken we did in my dads Pitt boss

I have the 340 also, I've done both but I prefer the spatched over BC chicken now.
