  1. DualFire 1200
Noob from North Texas ... Howdy!

Finishing my burn in today and started cooking but having issues that seem to be common with Android devices.

I get "No network" regardless of :

1. Initial setup. FWIW, I had to walk 4 houses away to drop enough bars to try to force use of 2.4GHz. i.e., my signal is very strong at the grill.
2. Following RecTeq's trouble shooting including uninstall/reinstall app, rebooting modem, using a different SSID for 5GHz vs. 2.4GHz, etc.
3. Logging in using my wife's iphone and ipad. Both of these setups had zero issues.
4. Revisiting all of the above after successfully connecting both ios devices and reinstalling the app ... still "No network".

I'm an noob but above summarizes what I could learn from a day's worth of searching through many different forums for a solution.

Any other ideas other than call RecTeq when they're back online tomorrow?

Welcome @Buckys and you might not like this but you may need an iOS device to get connected. Check out the Saturday 7:15 post by the OP, as sad as it is it got them over the hump.

@RattlerR, Thanks. That is exactly why I used my wife's old ipad. And the spatchcock chicken worked out well. At least once I freed the auger ... it had frozen... seemed that a pellet got wedged between it and the removable access panel when I first tried to burn-in.

Obviously, the ios device workaround fine while I'm home but if/when I want to control remotely when I'm away from the house, I'd like to only have to use my android phone.

Agree, I think once connected your Android should be able to connect to the grill. Many folks on the forum use Androids and I would hate to think I could not swap if I so desire.
