We might have to give the 0 - 400 method a try on our next Chicken Cook

Thank you. Will give it a try on Sunday. Temps outside close to single digits. RT700 should prevail.
 
I cook spatchcock chicken all the time, but never did the 0-400 method, and would think that wouldn't be enough to fully cook it spatchcock style. I usually do mine spatchcock at 275-300 grill temp to the standard internals for chicken (165-170 breast and 180 thigh) and usually takes 2 hours or so. I don't so much go on time but on internal temp.
 
I just did chicken thighs tonight (bone in/with skin). Felt so wrong to put them down a cold grill. 0 - 400 for 60 min. Finally found crispy skin! I am believer now.
