I fired up the Bull to roast some Hatch Chiles I had shipped from New Mexico and it seems to think probe B is plugged in when it obviously isn’t. Any fix for this issue?
We do something similar down South but call them Atomic Buffalo Turds or ABT's

Only the first two hours were at 225°....most of the cook was at 250°....Late afternoon I bumped it to 275°......It just never got to temp. I think it was 191° when I pulled it due to time constraints. I should have just smoked a flat given the time frame I had to work with. Live and learn....
It was fine, but took longer than I expected. By the time it hit temp I didn’t have time to do the burnt ends from the point. This was my first whole packer brisket and frankly I consider it a fail because I was really looking forward to those burnt ends. I hope I at least learned something…
I posted in an earlier thread that I’ve had no problems getting the cover on and off but your post literally has me laughing out loud because I’m a structural engineer! :ROFLMAO:
We eat late (around 9-9:30 cst) every night. That gives me over 14 hours….Hopefully that’s enough time. The pork butt (8 Lb) last weekend took 12.5 hours so I am a little nervous. This thing is more like an oven than a grill to me. 😏
Bull quickly reached 400 and stayed almost dead on temp but did hit 404 before settling back on 400. Before I started I put roughly 1/4 cup of pellets in the fire pot like instructions suggested. Do you still have to put a 1/4 cup in fire pot before every cook? 8lb pork butt for first cook...
My bull is brand new. I haven't even made my first cook or even done the burn-in but I had zero problems getting the cover on. Maybe they listened and made the newer covers bigger...I don't know. I did remove the drip bucket and started on the stack side. Easy peasy...
Finally got it put together. Planning on a whole brisket this weekend while we relax around the pool. I’ll have to find some help to get her up on the back deck, though.
I still haven't put my Bull together. After reading this forum and seeing a 20 page thread about changing out the auger motor I'm wondering if mine is already obsolete? :ROFLMAO:......Going to try and build mine this afternoon.
