If you could only have 3 rubs...

I know the preference was not to make your own, but this book led me to a few good self-made rubs (book gave me start, then a little tweeking on my own for the finished rub): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/155832125X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have RecTeq rubs which...

    Who's Upgrading 700->1250?

Just curious, where is the Facebook forum that has the guy possible making a drip deflector? Would love to buy this although the front of the bull has the drip stains from many cooks.

    Basics To Pellet Grill Cooking

Like others have said - I have my Big Bull 700 for over a year and enjoy it thoroughly. I have been lucky enough to only have 2 failed cooks over this time. I was happy cooking my 2" steaks in the 700 for 45 minutes to 124 degrees and then pulling them off and cranking the heat up to 500+ and...

For Sale Brand New RT-700 Cover for the Big Bull

RT- 700 Cover (No smoke box), never used - $75 plus shipping (original box it came in from Rec Tec is gone - in case that matters) Decided not needed since my Big Bull resides in a clean garage year round. Interested, let me know, thanks. I'm in Orlando.

    Temperature Surges?

Bytor - what problems do you have in direct sunlight? I am in Orlando and I cook in direct sunlight all of the time without issues that I can see, just curious what you found. Thanks.

Already rusting after only 3 weeks :-(

Nautiboy - I have a brand new Rec-Tec cover for the Bull that I decided I won't use. I took it out of the packaging and it sat on my counter for months never even put on. My Bull resides in my garage so other than some dust I don't have any issues with the elements. You're welcome to it for...

    My Bull Disappointment!!!

Would be interested in purchasing a lid deflector like Cooper2u made, anyone thinking about making some of these to sell? My front of my Bull is stained pretty bad and does not like to come off...

    Leaving the RT-700 outside.

Orlando - My 700 is in the garage (where I want it) roll it out and cook in the drive way (our drives are behind the house in our neighborhood). Purchased a cover and never used it, have decided it's not needed. Anyone want to buy a brand new cover (never used but not in factory box)?

    Problem with the Bull

New deflector is on the way.

    Problem with the Bull

Sent pictures off to Rec Tec today, the deflector is warped but the drip pan is not, but the warp of the deflector does lift the pan slightly. Pictures attached for those interested.

    Problem with the Bull

Rec Tec responded , need to send pictures so I will pull out deflector and pan and take some for them. I will post here as well. If a better alternative was out there that we knew would not warp, I would purchase it myself. Not sure if anyone has gotten the Smoke Daddy - 10g or 13g and if that...

    Problem with the Bull

My Bull came in July 2019, deflector is warped and does not return to normal, I do sear steaks on the Bull with the searing grates and hi-temps. The drip tray does not deposit grease into the bucket but not sure if it is warped (seams to sit flat on flat surface when I clean it unlike the...

    Inexpensive gas grill for searing

Drumr0 - would be interested in instructions also for sear box install, was thinking about the same thing.

    Problem with the Bull

I have the warping also, but not sure to the extent described above - will have to check on next cook. When cooled, my deflector does rock some in grill. Purchased B700 late July. Just curious, which diffuser is recommended at Smoke Daddy - 10g or 13g (if I decided to to get this).

Okay Third Time Smoking Ribs and still......

For me, I do not move the ribs once positioned in Bull. I also like Baby Backs over SLR but both are very tasty. I use dry brine overnight, rub for a few hours, spritz them every hour or so with apple juice, and sauce the last 20 minutes.

    Grill Cover?

Just an update - since July in Orlando we have had high 90 degree weather and a close hurricane scrape. It usually thunder storms every afternoon which increases the already high humidity (which usually gives us heat indexes in the 105 range). Never bought the cover and leave my pellets in the...

Considering purchasing RT-700 but having second thoughts

I can attest to the Rec Tec service, called them because I noticed one of my lid stops was bent slightly, just enough to visually see it when looking from one to the other. Rec Tec did not feel it would do anything to the lid but sent free replacements out anyway. I have had my Bull now since...

    Additional Grilling Equipment

Thanks for the input and the possible issues - I was considering the kamado style one and the price is higher, really like the one Grilla Grills sells. May have to rethink the whole idea again - this will probably turn into a 6 month affair just like the Bull (and drive my wife nuts).
