I just spoke with the motor manufacturer. They are not willing to produce the 2.5 RPM motor without a significant commitment.
They recommended these guys, https://directigniter.com
However, they do not carry a 2.5 RPM unit. No Joy.
I went ahead and contacted Shenzhen Haolun Electrics Co., Ltd. and requested 6ea 2.5 rpm motors. Let's see where it goes.
13-hour time difference; I will update as things evolve.
Interesting thread.
I did some digging because that's what I do. I believe I found Rec Teq's auger motor supplier. It appears they will ship a few 2.5 RPM sample motors for a couple of hundred bucks + freight. I have not contacted them but I'm almost certain that is negotiable.

I use a full-size hotel pan and lid. Its dual-purpose holds all the stuff you mentioned above when the smoker is idle. Can be used to hold meat when it is ready to serve. Its is not sealed but it keeps everything together, dry, and dirt-free.
I have carried this Klein USB rechargeable light daily, in my tool bag, for the past 18 months. It is very versatile. It has high and low settings, mounts magnetically and is extremely bright. I love that it's USB rechargeable. A full charge lasts 8-10 hours; it'll even recharge a phone. Worth...
Congrats on the new smoker.
A lot of folks on this forum have sealed their lids with high temp gasket material. I did the day I assembled mine and don't regret it. It really helps keep the smoke on the meat and the stainless looking, well...stainless.
You may already have these, but a really...
There are so many options.

1. Depends on your bracket but I'd probably pull out one of the bolts, select a drill bit a shade larger than it, and there it is.
2. The shelf on my 590 is 30" X 10" and folds down nice and flat with the completion cart
3. The thickness of your shelf will dictate the screw length assuming you...
Ostrichsak (great name) is correct. Should work just fine with the standard stand. I made the shelf out of a scrap piece of HDPE cutting board. The brackets I used are found here.
Could you not just drop your temp to low, open the lid, do your thing, close the lid and crank it back to your desired set point to reduce the overshoot significantly?
I had a similar issue right out of the box as well. Mine had digits with missing segments (for example an 8 looked like a 3). Called RecTec, they asked me to gain access to the control board and reseat all the wiring connectors onto the board. When I removed one of the wires, the entire spade on...
