If you are doing it yourself, go to Lowes and get some Navel Jelly. Paint it on with a brush and when you rinse it off, there won't be any rust, only clean metal. Then you can paint it.
There is/was a video review of pellets on here somewhere. The thing that stuck out to me is Treager pellets are cheaper wood and they use cherry, oak, hickory.... oils. Out of all the pellets, Treager was at the bottom of the list.
That happened to me on my 590 about a week ago, the only time I didn't unplug my grill. I came done to start working around 5am and it was at temp and the hopper was almost empty.
Glad to hear I not crazy.
I'm new to the WIFI controller on my grill. I just upgraded the controller and have been using it for about 6 weeks now. If Recteq is going to upgrade the app there are a few things that would be nice. This is only a wish list and some request may not be possible for current controllers...
@ccmjr77 is right on the other stuff to seal. I haven't had any stale potato chips or moldy blocks of cheese since I bought a vacuum sealer. Vacuum the cheese, don't vacuum the chips. Hell, I even vacuum seal some tools for the boat so I can leave them there and they won't rust.
