    Busy Weekend

    Smoked a brisket, pork belly, and a pork butt to stock my daughter's freezer. This should last them for a little while. They buy the meat and I keep 10 percent for the "big guy". Probably should have taken the picture before pulling the pork butt bone.

    Leftover Ideas

    Wanted to do something a little different tonight. Made a caprese pizza with some homegrown tomatoes and leftover pulled pork. Added some Freakin Greek rub when pulled from the oven. It came out even better than expected. Do you have any other ideas for serving leftovers?

    Have you seen the new rescue brush designed to work with grill grates? I think this would clean the wire racks better even without grill grates.

    I was really excited for a new local meat market's grand opening. And then I saw the prices. Prime brisket point or flat, no whole $11.99 lb. Wagyu brisket cut the same way and it is $25 lb. Does this seem high compared to meat markets in your area? I prefer to support local small businesses...

    Got 2 new rubs for Fathers day. Just opened them up and put the beef rub on a flank steak. If you have not tried these, you should check them out. Really good flavor.

    Accessory Grill

    What is your accessory gril? I have a 15 year old Weber Genesis 310. Use it mostly just for searing now. Replaced all the internals this year with stainless steel. And got the last part, the SS grill grates, during Prime day. Just waiting on delivery. Surprisingly good condition for the age.

    Mixing It Up

    Cooking a little bit of everything today. Beef boneless ribs, pork baby back ribs, and a pork butt. Got to say I am pleasantly surprised by the probes. Calibrated them in ice water and they have been reading dead on with my thermapen.
