Hey guys and gals,
This forum has been around for a bit, back in the days before Rec Teq was called Rec Teq and the number of different models of grills were much smaller. Fast forward to today and Rec Teq has more than a dozen active models on their site and several other models that are...
Several of our old cheaper frying pans have seen much better days. Looking at either the Made In (non-stick) or HexClad pans.
Have you tried either or those or have a brand you'd suggest?
The wife has been wanting something to make up margaritas and such and I've seen a few reviews mention that the Vitamix blenders are capable of doing this along with pretty much everything else. Even to warm up soup - which just seems nuts a blender can do that.
Amazon has the Vitamix blender...
We just bought a 23' camper trailer, and I'm looking for a grill setup to haul around while we go camping. I absolutely love my RT-700, but it's a tank by itself, let alone the custom cart I built for it - so hauling that around is out of question.
The next thing that comes to mind is the...
I did an Amazon search for an "electric jerky gun" and the results came back with several DeWalt caulking guns, which I thought was a bit funny then interesting. Is anyone really using a caulking gun as their jerky gun?

For Thanksgiving this year I'll be doing two turkeys, one deep fried and the other will be done cajun style and spatchcock on the Recteq Bull. I'm also doing Jody's Mac & Cheese and a cast iron skillet apple pie on the Bull.
What are you guys planning on cooking?
Here is a fantastic all purpose seasoning that's all heat and no sugar that's great on beef, pork and chicken that I came across on youtube from Red Meat Lovers.
I got to try it last weekend on some chicken drum sticks it was very good!

ThermoWorks reached out to me a few days ago asking if I'd be interested in checking out their new Thermapen ONE thermometer, knowing how well the MK4 has performed for me I just had to check out the new ONE meat probe as well.
The MK4 and ONE share the same overall look, including the much...

It seems a top meat supplier JBS has been hit with a ransomware attack in their computer systems. It will be interesting to see how this impacts an already messed up industry right now.

I've got a rack of pork loin back ribs and I'm looking for a simple way to cook them this time. I've done the 3-2-1 method with mixed results and am curious on what others have tried with good success.
I'm thinking rubbing the rack down with mustard, covering with Holy Cow rub from Meat Church...
Nearly three years ago I detailed how I modified my stock recteq (rectec at the time) bull smoker in the How to do the Rec Tec wheel mod. This mod worked pretty well but there were a few things that started to bother me - such as the air up tires and having to make sure they were at the proper...
I've heard about spatchcock turkeys and chickens now for a long while and think I want to give it a try. Though honestly I'm not sure how much better it can be over my current cajun smoked turkey ;)
That said I'm in the market for a really good set of kitchen shears. Looking around I've come...
Can you guess I'm in a turkey mood right now? Here another fantastic cajun smoked turkey I've found thanks to howtobbqright.com).
It’s not Thanksgiving without a smoked turkey, and this year I’m doing a spicy Cajun Smoked Turkey version for my family. This bird is loaded with flavor from a 24...
In this smoked turkey recipe, I will show you how to speed up the process of smoking a turkey by butterflying it, commonly called “spatchcocking the turkey”.
This opens up the turkey allowing it to cook a lot more evenly, makes it easier to carve and often helps the skin to get more crispy...
