    Extra Smokestack

I got it from RecTeq. I ordered one for the 700 Bull. I would assume they are the same on the BFG. They did not send the bolts and nuts. I had some of my own. So you might want to get them too.

    Extra Smokestack

I used a jigsaw, with a stainless, fine toothed blade, with 32 threads per inch. Taped up the outside with masking tape and laid out the hole with a black sharpie to match with the other side . I drilled a 3/8" pilot hole inside of the layout for the hole, and had my niece spray a plain water...

No need to do that. Works like it is supposed to.

    Meat probe dishwasher safe?

I fixed some probes once, that my girlfriend had cleaned and got them wet. She let them soak in the sink. They would show 150 to 200 degrees in the kitchen at normal room temperature. I put them in the oven at 300 degrees for an hour and let them cool. Worked like a charm.

    Extra Smokestack

I think you are off track. The PID controller takes care of temp and pellet useage. All I did was reduce back pressure. I have a lot of leakage around the lid. I sealed it months ago with high temp silicone and found that I was causing issues with temp stability. Took off the seal and it settled...

No change in offset temperature. No point to see. I just wanted to share.

    I had a problem

Hello, my name is Bill. I used to be a hard headed stick burner guy. I have been clean for five years. I am here to tell you the facts. Don't be getting all butt-hurt when you read this. Just let it sink in. You might learn something. The stick burner folks talk about "learning...

    Extra Smokestack

I wanted to add an extra smokestack on my Bull so it would look like the BFG. I think it came out great. I don't know if it helped anything or not. I just wanted the look. Check it out.

Another Rectec Bull 700 and 680 Wheel Mod

The channel was scrap I had laying around. Otherwise it would have been a couple inches longer. You can buy it online or at a local welding supply store. Google 2 x 1 x 1/8 channel. I primed it first with an outdoor quality primer from a rattle can. I then painted it with a black gloss outdoor...

This picture missed the cut somehow. The other picture you are seeing is a bad angle.

Another Rectec Bull 700 and 680 Wheel Mod

I did a wheel mod on my Bull. I added extra length to the back side to add more stability. Stainless 5/8" rod 27 inches long. 2" X 1" channel, 26 inches long. Drilled holes and mounted casters from Caster city. They have 1/2" holes in the pivot and you use a 1/2 x 1 1/4 inch bolt to mount with...
