Right on. It’s actually probably less work to just wipe the drips off the front each time.Don't need it.

Right. That’s what I was referring too- the shield. I love your drip catch build. No, I made the drip catch, not the drip shield, LOL. Literally a piece of metal that clips to the grill. Any drips go on that. I think I posted pics in this thread somewhere.
I did it today as drawn.
1. No the angle doesn't get over the pan
2. Slight interference with the Recteq griddle.
I'm happy with the result. Time will tell. I'm on the fence about rtv. Creosote will eventually fill in gaps.

I'm sure Grilla Grills doesn't mind selling accessories to the RT group.I contacted Grilla Grills about their Silverbac accessory set to get the sizes. Looks like the grease catch is a perfect fit for the 590.
“The grease catch is 25.75" x 1.5" and the heat deflector is 23.5" long.”
I just ordered it. $50 with free shipping.

What do these gain you? I can't see what I'd need them for? Serious question. That reminds me....I still need to make my rack jacks.
Lifting hot grills, cleaning crap off the grill, etc. What do these gain you? I can't see what I'd need them for? Serious question.
Check out the video up a bit. He shows how they can be used. What do these gain you? I can't see what I'd need them for? Serious question.

I’m inIf enough members are interested, I can put this together (or someone else more centrally located to the group). Just need anyone wanting one to participate to speak up and give your forum name & location. Maybe if a few members are close enough to each other I could ship theirs together to a single member of that group and they could be distributed amongst themselves to save shipping cost.

I just made an account to say I'm in...located in Wyandotte, MI.
Fun story: I've only had the 700 for like 3 weeks... about 4 days after I ordered it I realized the 1250 was a thing... called RecTeq to cancel so I could order the 1250 and they said it was in shipping and would be a 20% restocking fee (no thanks). I asked them if I could purchase the cast iron heat deflector and the drip edge of the 1250 as a consolation and they said no. I feel like they might have made an exception in my circumstance.
I like that it’s stainless steel, versus having to prevent dissimilar metal problems and rust.
Yep! As long as the powder coat isn’t compromised, that shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Even though it’s very little, you would still have a tiny bit of galvanic corrosion between an aluminum drip diverter and the stainless steel fasteners in the presence of any juices (electrolytes), though. That’s why I slightly prefer the stainless steel. The lid is plain carbon mild steel, IMO. The screws looked to be stainless. But the buildup of meat juice goo and the powder coat paint will not likely let it become any issue.
