Well, I had the itch to do some ribs. Wife went out and grabbed a decent rack. Nothing to crazy for the 1st run.
I watched a bazillion videos, and settled on the Matts (meat church version) video. I used the Meat Church Honey Hog seasoning.
Cooked it up at 275, took it out, did the brown sugar, butter and honey trick, wrapped them up and sent them back into pellet grill heaven.
Opened them bad boyz up, the aroma was to die for, juicy as all get out and the taste was awesome! Ribs fell right off the bones. Wife says this grill is damn spot on!
New favorite recipe for ribs... So glad I have this bad ass grill! So much to try! Thanks everyone for the help and remarks! Grill on!

I love a story with a happy ending.

Awesome! Glad to hear you are happy.. Happy Wife = Happy Life..

I could probably sell the wife easily on a BFG if I wanted :) .. Problem is it is just the two of us now so hard to justify. The Bull fits the bill for now.

We just got 4 new (to us) rubs from Meat Church yesterday. The wife loves the Honey Hog, I’m leaning to the Voodoo myself.

With just the two of us now, for the most part, I can barely justify the RT-700… but I still find myself lusting for a BFG.

I find we are smoking our meals about 4 times a week now.. Next I want to do some Carnitas! I guess every weekend I will buy a new rub to have that area covered! Loving the RT700! We are only 3 here, but I love it no matter what! Has anyone done a "study" to see power usage during these 7 hour smokes? I was just wondering... Thanks ya'll! Smoke on!

Most of the power consumption is "ignition" the rest is minimal.

Greg, how hot is the Voodoo? Their Holy Gospel is fantastic!

It has a bite to it for sure, but doing a finger taste test I don’t find it excessively hot. But that’s always subjective, the heat I like best will usually make food inedible for my wife. Haven’t cooked with it yet, but I can say that it is about as fine a grind of rub I’ve ever seen, which often results in over seasoning.

@Smoker4 i use Voodoo on Chicken quite often. I have to go light for my wife to eat it. It’s got a nice kick and lots of flavor. I love it. Heat is always a subjective thing. I will say it’s got more kick than Killer Hogs Hot which is an excellent rub and is the hot rub my wife prefers.

Yet, it's alway great when Momma asks "what are you gonna smoke today ?"
She can't wait 'till it's warm again, so we can remove the Cold Weather Cover, and she can smoke some of Her Homemade (Gluten Free) Sourdough Bread !
