I purchase the cover for my Rec Teq 340. I am having a very difficult time both putting it on and removing. I think they made is to tight. its needs more room and then tighten it at the draw string at the bottom. I am sure sooner rather than later the edges of the hopper with rip a hole in it it's so tight. and it alway get caught on the cover handles. The easiest way I found to have my wife helping but still quite difficult. A few more inches of material could really help unless I just happen to get one that is extremely tight.

There was a post recently about this. RT-340
Mine is definitely a tight fit, but can get it on alright. I did purchase these corner guards and they work perfectly. Guards

I have also used them on my other equipment

Thanks all I just placed my order for the guards on Amazon. Many thanks again!!!

I posted this under another 340 cover topic.

I bought a Nexgrill heavy cover for my son-in-law's 340 from Home Depot. I believe it was 48" x 20" x 30". I think the price was somewhere around $30. Fit great. I wondered if the 20" depth would go over the grill, but is easy to put on & take off. No reason that it won't last for quite a while. He stores it outside (Detroit - so will have cold weather, but out of the wind), so time will tell.

Also got him a heavy plastic round garbage can with a tight fitting lid for pellets. It probably will hold 3 to 4 - 20 lb. bags. He keeps it outside. I have a similar one for my 590, but I added a 1/2" foam insulation weather strip to the top rim of the can, so there are no air gaps when the cover is on. I live in Florida, and mine is under a roof, so more of a problem with humidity & bugs.

Thank you for the info. I checked Homedepot.com and the closest Nexgrill cover I see currently is one that is 42w x 20d x 28h. I was hoping to find one that wen to the ground, but the more I think about it, that probably doesn't really matter as long as the grill itself gets protected. I'll pick one up and try it and keep it is reserve for when the Recteq covers fails. I don't even know if this one keeps water out as we have had zero rain since I got the grill 4 months ago! Thanks again.

That's the right one. I was just at Home Depot earlier today and checked to see if I remembered the dimensions. $24.95. The actual cover dimensions are slightly larger than the size of grill it claims to cover.
