I wanted to add an extra smokestack on my Bull so it would look like the BFG. I think it came out great. I don't know if it helped anything or not. I just wanted the look. Check it out.

Looks cool !...did it affect the internal temp at all since it's right by the probe?

I would imagine that your pellet use will double now. I like the look, but would think you need reduce to opening into the grill by at least half to save heat/smoke... Or am I off track here?

I think you are off track. The PID controller takes care of temp and pellet useage. All I did was reduce back pressure. I have a lot of leakage around the lid. I sealed it months ago with high temp silicone and found that I was causing issues with temp stability. Took off the seal and it settled down. I have cooked on the 700 several times with the extra stack and I don't use any more pellets. Less leakage around the lid. And it looks cool.

Could he close down the opening on the two chimneys so each one only lets half the normal amount of smoke out? That should bring it back to normal.

I used a jigsaw, with a stainless, fine toothed blade, with 32 threads per inch. Taped up the outside with masking tape and laid out the hole with a black sharpie to match with the other side . I drilled a 3/8" pilot hole inside of the layout for the hole, and had my niece spray a plain water mist with a spray bottle, on the inside to act as a coolant and lube for the blade.

I won't be able to reply till this evening.
@snailtrax - I know this is an old thread, but how did you cut the hole.in the stainless steel?

Where did you get the extra smoke stack? Are they the same ones on the BGF?

I got it from RecTeq. I ordered one for the 700 Bull. I would assume they are the same on the BFG. They did not send the bolts and nuts. I had some of my own. So you might want to get them too.

Seems this might help in evening the temp across the grill. Or, I'm I thinking wrong?

Waiting on my new Bull to arrive!

I feel that it helped. More even heat across the grill. Good circulation both directions. It looks good too.
