Anything you wish Recteq would make?

petty (lazy ask).

I used the trager drip pan liner as suggest on this site. it will work but isn't perfect because of the way ridges are. I would love RecTeq specific trip tray liners. not sure why i have this mental aversion to the foil, but just makes me cranky. Would love to clean my tray and just place a liner on it and be ready to go.

Second... add my vote to a sliding top shelf. Mine has been relegated to pollen collection under my bull. it isn't big enough to truly use it. Hate having to clean it up to use it. I end up using it 2-3 times a year if i have a huge cook. Whereas, if i have a slide out second shelf i am certain i would use it frequently.

Which Trager drip pan liner do you use? I made a spreadsheet of all the Trager liners trying to find a size to fit my Stampede drip pan. Doesn't look too good for the Stampede.

+1 to the sliding interior shelf

Would also like to see them develop a controller that would allow for various levels of smoke/PID control. Much like the Grilla Alpha smoke or new CampChef Woodwind. Sometimes I want PID, and sometimes it would be nice to have the temp swings that produced more smoke on a longer cook.

Just snagged a RT700 grill cover. Available on their website . YEA!!! At last.

I saw another post and the other idea of a quick ash door/removal access. Like a stick burner. I don't mind cleaning my drip pan every 3-4 cooks. But i feel like i really need to vac my ash out more frequently. It isn't difficult, but you do need to pull the grates, drop pan and heat deflector. It would be great if there was a door or something that could make it easy to push the vac hose in there and clean it up easily.

On the question of the Traegar liner:

Traeger BAC410 Pellet Grills Pro 34 Tray Liner-Quantity 5, Brown/A - From Amazon.

It is the perfect size to cover the surface area of the pan. The minor issue is the elevated side and the lip on the drip side aren't ideal. Need it to be about 2 inches longer so wrap those around the two ends. Still faster than foil and appear to be just a bit thicker making me think less will get through.

I change my foil and vacuum fire pot after each use. I am trying my best to prevent grease fire and burn back.

Three things come to mind right away
  • Bolt-on cooking accessories, similar to Camp Chef's Side Kick and Sear Box.
  • A large REC TEQ branded lighted umbrella and holder that bolts to the carts
  • Upper shelf rails and shelves for all models

How about a pellet sifter to get all the dust out keep from clogging up the hopper. I had to buy a Traeger one the other day and I was pretty disgusted with myself. Please make one that has a good bucket system with a lid etc.
